Your Complete Newborn Feeding Guide

As you get ready for the exciting arrival of your little one, you’re probably starting to think about feeding options. This 2.5-hour in-person workshop provides a warm, supportive space to explore everything you need to know about newborn feeding.

Whether you're planning to breastfeed, formula feed, or combine both, you'll gain valuable information and practical tips to help you make confident, informed choices for your baby’s feeding journey.

Your guide to gaining confidence and practical skills.

By attending this workshop, you’ll walk away feeling more confident and equipped for your feeding journey. Here’s a peek at what you’ll learn:

Recognising Hunger and Fullness

Learn how to recognise the subtle (and not-so-subtle) cues that your baby is hungry, like rooting or fussiness. You’ll also learn the signs that show your baby is full and satisfied, helping you feel more at ease during feeding times.

Understanding Normal Feeding Patterns

Get familiar with typical newborn feeding patterns, including how often and how long babies usually feed, plus how these patterns can shift during growth spurts or key developmental stages.

Breastfeeding Basics

Explore the essentials of breastfeeding – from understanding how milk production works to trying out different feeding positions. We’ll also tackle common challenges like latch issues or discomfort and share tips for expressing milk to help make breastfeeding a more enjoyable experience.

Formula/Bottle Feeding

Whether you’re choosing formula or planning to combine it with breastfeeding, you’ll learn everything you need to know about bottle feeding. This includes paced feeding techniques, choosing the right formula, and safely preparing bottles, so you feel confident and prepared whichever path you take.
