Hypnobirthing Antenatal Course Broxburn
Pregnant and living in Broxburn, I can help with that!
Over the years, I’ve taught antenatal courses throughout West Lothian and private 1:1 sessions for local parents-to-be. These days, my hypnobirthing classes run online and at the Choose You Yoga Studio in Livingston
Why Birth Preparation with Joy for your
Hypnobirthing Antenatal Course?
Congratulations on your pregnancy! It can be a bit of a daunting time and I understand if one minute you are really excited about labour and birth and the next wondering how you are going to manage and feel anxious and a little overwhelmed.
It is true that you’ll find other hypnobirthing instructors around West Lothian who all do things a little differently, but I hope I am the 'right fit' for you. I pride myself on teaching a realistic, honest and evidence-based course.
Hypnobirthing has the potential to help everyone, regardless of their birth options and pain relief choices. Some want to use hypnobirthing strategies right 'til the end of their labour, others want to learn how to cope when there’s nothing else; at home in early labour, in the car on the way to the hospital and whilst waiting in triage or to be admitted into the labour room. I most definitely promote informed choice throughout my courses.
Having qualified with a university diploma in Antenatal Education and subsequent qualifications in hypnobirthing, I have supported 1000s of couples since 2007 prefer for the birth of their babies both privately and in my capacity as an NCT and Blossom Antenatal Teacher. I regularly attend CPD events so I am up-to-date with current maternity thinking and facilitation skills and I am a lay member of the Maternity Voices Partnership working with NHS Lothian to provide the best care for parents.
You were approachable, calm, informed & inspired trust. I lost a lot of fear of labour.

We have genuinely felt more at ease and excited about the birth of our daughter & we really feel you played a crucial part in this! This course has helped us to become much less apprehensive about birth.
I just want to thank you for all the information. I managed to stay at home until I was 6cm & it was the best part of the labour because I felt so calm and in control.
