Calm, Focussed Preparation Shaped Around You
This one-to-one antenatal course is designed for parents who want personalised guidance rather than a group setting.

You may be feeling anxious, unsure, overwhelmed or simply wanting space to properly understand what lies ahead. You may be preparing for your first baby, adding to your family, or hoping for a more confident experience this time.

Working together privately allows us to focus on your questions, your circumstances and your priorities, while giving you clear, evidence-based preparation for birth and early parenthood.
“The 1:1 Zoom session with Joy felt like chatting with a friend who truly understood my worries. She explained everything in simple terms and helped me create a birth plan I feel confident about.”
Sarah - 1:1 Client

What This Course Offers
Preparation that supports confidence, not overwhelm
Across four structured online sessions, we cover labour, birth, feeding and the early postnatal period in a way that is practical, realistic and grounded.

You will gain understanding of what is happening in your body, what choices you may face, and how to approach decisions calmly and confidently, even if plans change.

Parents often say they leave feeling steadier, clearer and far more prepared than they expected.

What You'll Cover
Session 1 – Labour & Birth: What’s Really Going On
How your body works in labour, stages of birth, comfort measures, breathing, massage, movement and hypnobirthing-inspired relaxation (scripts included).
Session 2 – Informed, Confident Choices
Pain relief options, induction, caesarean birth, how to make decisions you feel comfortable with, and how your birth partner can support you calmly and effectively.
Session 3 – If Plans Change & Life After Birth
What happens if things don’t go to plan, postnatal recovery, realistic expectations and newborn essentials - soothing, communication and safer sleep.

Session 4 – Feeding Your Baby
Judgement-free guidance for breastfeeding, bottle-feeding or both - positioning, responsive feeding, expressing, troubleshooting, and where to get help if feeding feels tough.
“I felt so relaxed and that we could ask anything. We’re feeling a lot less terrified about the prospect of labour.”

Experience, Grounded and Evidence-Led Support
I’m Joy, an antenatal educator, perinatal emotional support specialist and breastfeeding counsellor with over 20 years’ experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth and the early weeks of parenthood.

Over the years, I’ve taught antenatal education in private settings, NHS-linked programmes and national organisations, and I continue to mentor and support other antenatal educators alongside my work with parents.

That depth of experience shapes how I teach. My approach is clear, calm and grounded in both evidence and a real understanding of how maternity care works in practice. The aim is always to help you feel informed, steady and confident, whatever path your birth takes.
