Antenatal Courses in Linlithgow
Small, relaxed group classes that help you feel informed, supported and genuinely prepared for birth, baby care and the early weeks.
Feel informed, confident and genuinely prepared for birth
Preparing for birth isn't just about learning information. It's about understanding your options, making sense of the maternity system and feeling genuinely prepared for the journey ahead.
With so much advice, opinion and information available, it can be difficult to know what is relevant to you and your family. My role is to help you understand your options, explore the choices available to you and feel confident making decisions that are right for you.
Drawing on more than 20 years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood, and delivering antenatal education through private programmes, NHS-linked services and national organisations, I'll help you understand the choices available to you, navigate maternity care with greater clarity and confidence and prepare for birth and early parenthood in a way that feels right for you.
Alongside evidence-based information about birth, feeding and newborn care, you'll gain insight into local maternity services, what to expect from care in your area and how to make the most of the support available to you.
You'll also have the opportunity to connect with other expectant parents locally, building relationships that often continue long after the course has finished.
This isn't about achieving a "perfect" birth.
It's about helping you feel informed, capable and supported, whatever path your pregnancy, birth and early parenting journey take.

About this support
This isn't just information - it's preparation you can actually use.
Many antenatal classes focus on covering content. My focus is helping you understand what that information means for you, your choices and your experience.
Together, we'll explore birth, feeding, newborn care and the early weeks in a relaxed and supportive environment where questions are encouraged and discussion is welcomed.
There is plenty of opportunity to explore different scenarios, think about your options and learn practical skills that you can take away and use straight away.
Whether you're planning a home birth, birth centre birth, hospital birth, induction or caesarean birth, you'll leave feeling better prepared for the possibilities ahead and more confident navigating whatever path your experience takes.

Every family is welcome. I support LGBTQ+ parents, single parents, surrogates and diverse family structures with respect, inclusivity and non-judgemental support throughout.
With a maximum of 8 couples, the course offers a relaxed and supportive environment where everyone has the opportunity to take part, ask questions and learn at their own pace.

Many parents join antenatal classes hoping to learn about birth and baby care, but leave with something just as valuable: a community.
The small group format creates space for genuine connections with other local parents who are at a similar stage of life. Many families stay in touch long after the course ends, meeting for walks, coffees and playdates as they navigate parenthood together.
Alongside the classes, you'll have access to a dedicated WhatsApp group where you can ask questions, share experiences and continue building those connections.
You're not just attending a course. You're becoming part of a supportive local community.
