If you’re pregnant and feeling excited... but also anxious, overwhelmed or unsure what to expect, you’re not alone.

Birth is one moment but motherhood begins straight after, and that transition can feel huge.
This course gives you a calm, supportive space to prepare for birth and the early days, with reassurance, emotional steadiness and practical tools that genuinely help.

Who Is This Course For?

This course is for pregnant mums who want emotional support as well as birth preparation.

It’s for you if you:
-
feel excited but also anxious, unsure or overwhelmed
-
want practical tools to steady your mind and calm your body
-
want more emotional preparation than a standard antenatal class offers
-
prefer calm, honest guidance without pressure or “just stay positive” messages
-
would feel safer in a small, supportive group where you can talk openly or simply listen
.
If any of this feels familiar, you’re in the right place.

When to Take This Course
You can join this course anytime from 12 weeks pregnant onwards. Most mums join between 16–32 weeks, as it gives plenty of time to complete the 6 weeks and really absorb the tools before birth.
If you’re earlier or later than this window, that’s perfectly fine - the course is designed to support you at any stage where you want to feel calmer, clearer and more emotionally steady.
Partner Involvement
To create a safe, honest space for emotional preparation, Weeks 1–5 are mums-only.
This gives you room to talk freely, reflect and explore without pressure.

Partners are welcome in Week 6, which focuses on the practical side: support planning, communication, decision-making and preparing for birth and the early days together as a team.

Your partner is part of this journey too, and Week 6 is a lovely chance to bring everything together.

How You’ll Feel After the Course

By the end of the 6 weeks, you'll feel clearer, more confident and emotionally steadier about birth and the early days.
You’ll understand your mind and body better, know what helps you stay calm, and have practical tools you can use whenever things feel overwhelming.

You’ll also leave with a personalised support plan for birth and early motherhood, something you can rely on when you need it most.

This course won’t promise perfection or remove every worry, but it will give you grounded confidence in your ability to handle what’s ahead - with more clarity and far less anxiety.

Why I Created This Course

When I became pregnant, I thought I was prepared.
I read the books, went to NHS antenatal classes and assumed I knew what to expect.
But when my son arrived, I realised nothing had prepared me for the emotional reality of those early days or for the unexpected feelings that came with them.

The doubts.
The exhaustion.
The loneliness.
The loss of who I used to be.
The surprising waves of emotion I didn’t know how to make sense of....
....and the quiet belief that I should be coping better.

I adored my baby but the transition into motherhood felt so much bigger and more overwhelming than I ever imagined and there wasn’t the kind of support then that exists now.

That experience has shaped everything I’ve done for the last 20 years.
It’s why I teach antenatal classes, support parents emotionally and offer trauma-informed care.
Most of all, it’s why I believe emotional preparation is just as important as the practical side of birth.

This course exists because I don’t want you to navigate that transition feeling alone, unprepared or unheard especially when those unexpected feelings arise
